Omaha residents gather at Turner Park to celebrate the second annual Butter Brickle Day. Sunday also happens to be National Ice Cream Day, and Omahans took time to mark the city's invention of Butter Brickle Ice Cream. There were games, kids' entertainment and the highly anticipated ice cream eating contests for both kids and adults.

The Cincinnati Observatory is offering a sweet way to soak up the sun with its annual Sun-Day Sundae Sunday celebration.

Kris and Kate's will be hosting a National Ice Cream Day today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will have car shows and a concert with live music by Molly Rodriguez. There will be armored vehicles on display for the public during the show.
