A major accident on I-95 in Martin County resulted in two fatalities early Saturday morning. According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), a wrong-way reckless driver was going southbound on northbound I-95 at mile marker 108 when he caused three crashes. The single-occupant drivers of the two vehicles that he hit were killed.

Fire rescue officials responded around 4:45 a.m. Monday to a crash involving a freight train and a sheriff's deputy's vehicle on Southeast County Line Road in southern Martin County. The deputy had minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The freight train did not have significant damage, said Fire Rescue spokesperson Cory Pippin.
