The Chicago Blackhawks will open up the NHL regular season against the Florida Panthers on October 7, and will look to develop their young talent throughout the season.

The NHL announced the schedule for the 2025-26 season's opening night on Monday. The Florida Panthers will raise their second-straight Stanley Cup banner against the Chicago Blackhawks, followed by the Pittsburgh Penguins traveling to New York to take on the Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

The season opener for the Penguins and Rangers will get underway at 8 p.m. on October 7 and will be airing on ESPN. The NHL's full schedule will be released on Wednesday afternoon.
