Boston set a new high temperature record on Tuesday, hitting 96 degrees. The previous record was 90, recorded in 2017. Tuesday was not only be the hottest day of this current stretch, but it may turn out to be one of the hottest days of year.

StormTeam 5 is tracking impact weather across Massachusetts on Sunday, with periods of rain at times throughout the day.

Tonight will continue to be breezy but largely dry. Areas of low cloud will move into eastern areas, but it will remain generally clearer towards western parts.

Highs are headed into the upper 80s and around 90 across the region, and a heat advisory remains in effect. The coast will be a bit cooler, with highs in the 70s across the Cape and the low to mid-80s along the North and South Shores.
