A crash on Interstate 25 northbound in Denver has resulted in lane closures and traffic backup Friday evening.

The Denver Police Department said on X that the crash at Sheridan and Morrison Road involved three motor vehicles, with one person pronounced dead at the scene and three others transported to area hospitals, according to the Denver Police Dept. The department urged drivers to steer clear of the area and use alternate routes during the closure.

The snowplow driver who lost control last week on I-70 and swerved into oncoming traffic has been placed on administrative leave amid the fatal crash investigation, state officials said.

Denver police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that has left two pedestrians with serious injuries Friday evening.

A driver was killed early Thursday in a single-vehicle crash at 56th Avenue and Peña Boulevard in northeast Denver, a busy gateway route for Denver International Airport. Police shut down lanes while investigators worked the scene, causing backups on the inbound Peña approach to DIA.

DPD says the crash happened Friday night in the Hale neighborhood. The vehicle they're looking for is a black 2015-2020 Chevrolet Tahoe.
