"This is so nostalgic!!"
Released all the way back in 2004, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen received a score of 8.4 in GameSpot's review and remains a fan favorite. It's the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, which featured in the original Pokédex. Zapdos will be arriving on 27th February 2026 ( aka Pokémon Day ), with the other two to follow this Pokémon at some point in the future.
Currently, there is no concrete evidence that the original Pokémon games are coming to the Nintendo Switch or Switch 2. Much of the recent excitement stems from Riddler Khu on X (formerly Twitter), who posted images of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen with the caption "They will return soon".
The presentation is expected to reveal the tenth generation of Pokémon games.
