Olivia Jones, 5-star recruit, commits to Vanderbilt women's basketball over Tennessee, others
Vanderbilt women's basketball landed a blue-chip recruit as its first 2026 commit. Olivia Jones, ranked the No. 14 player in the Class of 2026 by ESPN, announced her commitment to Shea Ralph and the Commodores on Oct. 31. She chose Vanderbilt over Notre Dame, Tennessee, Miami and North Carolina.
No. 1 UConn's first game of the 2025-26 NCAA women's basketball season against No. 20 Louisville has been moved from Ramstein Air Base in Germany to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, due to effects of the government shutdown. The game will still be played on Tuesday, Nov. 4, with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m. ET.
Parker will be joined in the Class of 2026 by WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne, Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve and NBA analyst Doris Burke.
