Chase Elliott exuded high optimism on the return of the NASCAR Cup Series to its traditional ovals after two eventful road course weekends.

And, although the No. 9 did not lead every lap, after surviving a late challenge from the likes of Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin, Elliott converted his pole into the stage win after 120 laps of action. Rounding out the top 10 were Chase Briscoe, Ty Gibbs, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano and Kyle Larson, who rose 15 spots during the opening stage.

Dover Motor Speedway was poised for some action packed midseason showdown, with the in-season tournament in full swing and the road-course fatigue of fans and drivers, somehow Dover of all tracks became something that the nascar community was actually looking forward to.

Chase Elliott asserted that Dover Motor Speedway is his favorite track on the NASCAR schedule after amassing two wins and 10 top-5 finishes at the Monster Mile.

Denny Hamlin, the defending winner of the NASCAR Dover race, and Kyle Larson are part of the drivers to watch in the 2025 event.
