Belinda Bencic stunned third-seeded American Coco Gauff 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday to reach the quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

Belinda Bencic acknowledged the ninth game of the third set was "the turning point" of her Indian Wells win against Coco Gauff and also revealed that she sensed the home favorite being tight in that faithful game and wanted to put as much pressure as possible.

Coco Gauff was coming off a victory over two-time Indian Wells finalist Maria Sakkari earlier in the week, but her momentum was halted by Belinda Bencic.
