Data from actor Gene Hackman’s pacemaker shows he was likely dead for nine days before he and his wife were found dead at their New Mexico home, authorities said.

While the actor, with more than 100 acting credits to his name, is best known for his performances in films like "The French Connection," "Hoosiers," "Mississippi Burning" and "Unforgiven," fewer people know that Hackman spent part of his early years in Iowa.
