All southbound lanes of Interstate 95 north near County Road 214 were closed Monday morning after a driver was seen waving a firearm at vehicles, leading to a pursuit with deputies that ended in a crash,

St. Johns and Jacksonville police received numerous 911 calls about a person in a red truck pointing a firearm at vehicles on I 95.

A suspect in a red truck who deputies say was pointing a gun and firing shots on Interstate 95 southbound was taken to the hospital after crashing, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said in a social post.
