The Bucks waived Lillard, who signed a three-year, $42 million contract with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Lillard requested a trade out of Portland in 2023, with the Heat being his preferred destination. However, he was ultimately dealt to Milwaukee in a blockbuster three team trade that would give Giannis Antetokounmpo another top player to play with.
With Lillard gone, the Bucks don't have a point guard that they truly trust on the roster. Kevin Porter Jr. will start next season, but he is clearly a more effective bench player than he is as a starter.
