Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials on Sunday said there were no known threats locally in response to the U.S. military attacking nuclear sites in Iran — but the department’s message was later withdrawn over “offensive and inappropriate” language, the agency said.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department on Sunday posted a tweet condoling the deaths in Iran after US's airstrikes. The erroneous tweet was quickly edited, but went viral anyway, leading the department to issue an apology for the "unacceptable" and "offensive" post.
