It didn't take long for the Atlanta Falcons to make their first training camp transaction. After Thursday's practice, the team announced multiple roster moves, releasing defensive back Kevin King and placing three players -- Cobee Bryant, Malik Verdon and LaCale London -- on the non-football injury list.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga – Thursday marked the start of what should be an eventful summer of training camp action for the Atlanta Falcons at Flowery Branch. A sold-out crowd was on hand as early as 7:00 a.m. to take in the team’s first of 11 open viewing periods .

Unlike last year, Michael Penix Jr. entered camp as the starting quarterback ahead of Kirk Cousins. Penix made sure to feed the ball to Pitts, who shined on Day 1. Wide receiver Darnell Mooney fell hard early in practice and was replaced by Chris Blair.
