MUMBAI: Moving a step closer to its much-anticipated India launch, US electric vehicle maker Tesla has finalised a deal to open its first showroom in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex, in what is probably the highest lease rent for a commercial space.
Tesla is reportedly recruiting and scouting showroom locations in India following a meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.  This comes ahead of an expected policy change that could make it easier for Tesla to import to the market,
