New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin had a rough night Tuesday. He allowed five goals on 11 shots before being pulled following 40 minutes of play.

After concluding a four-game homestand, the Nashville Predators will begin the month of March today at UBS Arena against the New York Islanders for an 11:30 a.m. CT puck drop. Today’s contest is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season; the Preds will host the Isles in April.

Ilya Sorokin dominated between the pipes to help the New York Islanders snap a four-game skid with a 2-1 victory against the Boston Bruins at T.D. Garden on Thursday night.

The Predators are the only team the Isles have not faced yet this season. Last year, the Islanders went 1-1-0 in the season series against Nashville including a 2-0 victory at UBS Arena where Semyon Varlamov pitched a 42-save shutout.
