The New York Islanders have played 10 straight games without their star defenseman Noah Dobson. Dobson, 25, struggled to start the year but looked much improved before his injury.
Noah Dobson returned to the ice before the New York Islanders’  practice Tuesday morning. Dobson skated in a full-contact jersey but did not partake in any drills. Dobson suffered a lower-body injury in a 3-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on January 20.
The New York Islanders traveled north to take on the Boston Bruins tonight in TD Garden. They welcome Noah Dobson and Hudson Fasching back into the lineup tonight.
The Predators are the only team the Isles have not faced yet this season. Last year, the Islanders went 1-1-0 in the season series against Nashville including a 2-0 victory at UBS Arena where Semyon Varlamov pitched a 42-save shutout.
