Ben Affleck is condemning Hollywood and the movie industry for how movies are financed. It's an area he and pal Matt Damon are trying to redefine.

The inability to predict his next job is just one part of an entertainment career's fragile nature. In a post-so-called-cancel culture world, Affleck also has to consider what he says publicly on a daily basis on top of other considerations before taking on a job—namely, if he believes the film will do well.

"I'm one errant remark away from being canceled, or I'm one movie bomb away from never working again," the star said.
