Eden Gardens pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee has found himself in the middle of a heated debate about home advantage against a fighting strip. Sujan drew flak from some sections of Kolkata Knight Riders fans after he denied franchise skipper Ajinkya Rahane's request to prepare spin-friendly tracks in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In an interaction with RevSportz, Eden Gardens pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee said the BCCI rules clearly mentions that the pitch curator is the sole decision-maker on how the pitch should be prepared.

Goswami said Mukherjee never allowed 'home advantage' and he, at times, even stopped the players from practising at Eden as it would damage the outfield.
