KERR COUNTY, Texas — After weeks of rescuing flood victims and searching for the missing, communities along the Guadalupe River are finally shifting from emergency response to recovery. The flooding devastated parts of the Hill Country, and now, residents are starting the difficult work of clearing debris and beginning the long cleanup ahead.

Social media posts claim Kerr County, an area hit hard by devastating flash floods, rejected the money from the Biden administration.

Kerr County teams have located most of the 160 people previously unaccounted for in the wake of the July 4th Texas flooding, with just three still missing.
