Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora admitted that it will "feel awkward" when the team visits ex-Boston third baseman/DH Rafael Devers and the San Francisco Giants for three games beginning Friday.

The Red Sox reportedly targeted Giants top prospect Bryce Eldridge in their negotiations that led to the Rafael Devers trade.

The Red Sox instead settled for Jordan Hicks, Kyle Harrison, James Tibbs III and Jose Bello in exchange for the three-time All-Star. Eldridge, the Giants’ top prospect and the No. 19 prospect in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline, is hitting .251/.323/.474 with 10 homers during stints in Double-A and Triple-A this season.
