The Boulder Police Department lifted a mandatory shelter-in-place order that was in place for several hours Monday as SWAT members attempted to negotiate with an armed suspect who ultimately took his own life.

An armed man who was seen on CU Boulder’s campus on Monday afternoon before fleeing to the area of 40th Street and Table Mesa Drive where SWAT negotiated with him, died by suicide Monday

The Boulder Police Department has issued a mandatory shelter-in-place order for the area of 40th and Table Mesa after an incident at CU Boulder earlier Monday afternoon.
