According to MLB.com's Brian McTaggart, the Astros traded for shortstop Carlos Correa in a deal with the Minnesota Twins. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported the Twins will pay $33 million of the remaining $103.42 million on Correa's contract.

The Twins traded nearly half of their MLB roster at last week’s trade deadline, but if it weren’t for the Carlos Correa deal, pitcher Griffin Jax likely would have stayed put.
