There is no tsunami threat in the Philippines after a magnitude 7.5 earthquake hit Kamchatka in Russia on Sunday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Five powerful quakes, including one with a magnitude of 7.4, struck in the sea off Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula.
