Spinal Tap 2 has released its official trailer, showcasing some of its big-name cameos and the role for a certain Taskmaster favourite. Titled Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, the film sees Nigel, David and Derek reunite for one more gig after one of their songs becomes a viral hit.

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues opens wide on Sept. 12. There will be a special Imax-only screening in select theaters on Sept. 10 followed by a Q&A with Reiner (as Marty DeBergi) interviewing the members of the band, drummer not included.

The filmmaker and actor also gives props to Elton John while previewing the long-awaited upcoming sequel, "Spinal Tap II: The End Continues."
