Tom Troupe, a stage and TV actor who appeared in "Star Trek," "Murder, She Wrote" and "Cheers," died Sunday morning at his home in Beverly Hills.

Veteran actor Tom Troupe has died. He was 97. Troupe passed away due to natural causes at his Beverly Hills home on Sunday morning, his spokesperson confirmed to several media outlets. Troupe’s nephew, Mark Cocanougher, also shared the sad news on Instagram.

His decades-long career involved television shows, movies, and multiple theater credits with his late wife Carole Cook.
