Have you ever seen a Kootenai River white sturgeon? Sturgeon first appeared in the fossil record about 20 million years ago and remain largely unchanged today. White sturgeon were added to the Endangered Species List in 1994. The fish is of great cultural importance to the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho.
