I raised the issue of land acquisition for national parks in the Parliament of NSW again this week. Since June 2024, 30 properties, totalling 113,976 hectares, have been acquired for the national park estate in New South Wales—and much, much more before that. Before these properties became national parks, they were businesses that contributed to local economies and were managed for pest animals and weeds. One of the problems is that the management structure of the National Parks and Wildlife Ser
