Judy musical career started in vaudeville at 2 years old. Her mother put her on stage and she never stopped working. Until age 12, Judy was known as Frances Gumm, and performed with her other 2 sisters as an act called “The Gumm Sisters,” later renamed “The Garland Sisters.” MGM discovered Judy in 1935 and soon after, she became a star.
