Ennis Mart Monday 17th April 2023 Sheep Auction Reasonable size sheep sale today with 459 on offer. A small entry of Spring Lambs but great spring lambs available and these reached €184. Hogget’s also a fine trade and many lots exceeding €3/kg. Again, the good heavy ewes a very strong trade and some of the better lots getting into almost €2/kg. Lighter ewes in the range of €1.50/kg to €1.75/kg. Spring Lambs 7 @ 40kgs - €158 - €3.95/kg 7 @ 52.5kgs - €184 - €3.50/kg 9 @ 42.5kgs - €165 - €3.88/kg 1

Ennis Mart Monday 13th January 2025 Sheep Auction Opening sheep sale of 2025 today with 590 on offer. Trade very strong and good lambs making over €4/kg, with a top price of €235 or €4.40/kg. Again the cull ewes were a great trade with flesh the deciding factor, as top quality ewes made over €3/kg. Sample prices included 2 ewes at 92kg making €285 & 2 ewes weighing 90kg hitting €261. Also a ewe of 98kg made €292, with the last 2 ewes of the day weighing 97kg hitting €293. Lambs 20 @ 58.5kgs - €2

Thursday 31st August 2023 Day one of our two-day breeding sheep sales set of with our opening breeding ram sale kindly sponsored by Robinson Co and Macmin. The pre-sale show was professionally judged by Mr James Latimer, Causeyview. Seven outstanding classes of stock led to the championship rosette being handed to the first prize texel shearling ram from Ms G Wilkinson, Arkleby House, this tup went on to join the Wha House flock for £700.
