#UPND YOUTHS PROTEST Governing United Party for National Development UPND youths in Kanyama Constituency protest over the party’s defeat in the just ended Luangwa District Council Chairperson Elections saying the defeat to the Patriotic Front signifies a lack of motivation at the grass root level. UPND SCOOPS KASHIWA WARD The United Party for National Development -UPND- has scooped the Kashiba Ward Local Government by-election after its candidate, ABOB MUMBA, polled 973 votes. National Congress Party -NCP- candidate CORNELIUS CHISALIMA came second with 262 votes, while Socialist Party -SP- candidate MULILO SOBALA obtained 161 votes.
