Children in Virginia Beach are soaking up the spring weather on a brand new slide down the side of Mount Trashmore. The new addition is an extension of the Mount Trashmore Kids Cove. It includes slides, musical instruments, and several areas to climb back up the "mountain."

People used pool toys, trash can lids — anything they could find. And people got hurt, including a kid ruptured who their spleen. The 1.6 million dollar project will include playground equipment on the hill with slides going down it, climbers, and nets with safety surfacing. The renovations will add 3,200 square feet to the current playground, kid's cove. The city says the project should be ready by mid-March. | WTKR News 3
